Additional Information: Old bird sitting outside the Finnish Aviation Museum. The plane was manufactured in 1943 and began to be used by the United States Air Force. The plane stopped its operation for the air force in 1984 and then moved to Finland. The plane was flown from the United States to Utti in Finland for repairs in 1946. Douglas C-47A, named Lokki, began flying for Aero Oy in 1947. In 1969, the plane was converted for surveying use. The plane’s last operational flight was in 1984. The plane was moved to Utti in 1985 for repairs and storage. In 1986, the plane flew for the last time from Utti to Helsinki, where it was stored. In 2015, the plane was moved to a stand in the yard of the Finnish Aviation Museum, where it still stands today.
